Winning! (Well On My Way...)

Life is about celebrating the small stuff, especially right now since most of the big stuff has been cancelled.

I’m not trying to brag, but I always appreciate when anyone tells me they love my work. I’m really glad I can bring joy, happiness or even just warm fuzzies to someone’s day.

Just about a year ago I decided to try something new with my marketing. I started cold calling licensing agencies reaching out and sending them some samples of my work.

I didn’t get a great response.

I’m also not going to sit and try to motivate you by sharing how I persevered and knew that every no was closer to a yes, blah, bah, blah.

However, I made a list of potential licensing agencies and for those of you have continued to follow me, know I love a list. So I knew I had to cross everyone off the list before I was satisfied.

Well, I am happy to say, it panned out! Alicia Dauber from Licensing Liaisons, LLC reached out to me and took me on as one of her artists. She immediately started marketing my work and I was picked up by another company who is showing my work to potential buyers. Of course, a worldwide pandemic kind of put a wrench into it all, but I am optimistic that the industry will pick up soon.

I am celebrating though! Because this is one of those small things!
