What Is Your Interior Design Style?

I love taking those stupid little quizes that are supposed to tell you who you are as a person. Since I have been thinking about doing a little redecorating in my house, I decided to find out what my “design style” is.

I found a great one on HGTV.com. You go through a series of pictures representing different styles and you click the one you like. According to my results, my style is Mid Century Modern. Apparently it is characterized by simplicity and functionality.

According to theSpruce.com, The distinguishing features of this style consist of a classic, understated look, and clean lines with minimal fuss.

Functionality is important, as form follows function
Uncluttered and sleek lines with both organic and geometric forms
Minimal ornamentation
An exploration of different traditional as well as non-traditional materials
The juxtaposition of different, and sometimes contrasting materials

There is liberal use of traditional material, such as wood, and non-traditional materials such as metal, glass, vinyl, plywood, Plexiglass and Lucite, and a vast range of color, including colors from neutral to bold, and graphic use of black and white.

Sounds about right.
