Scenes From A Bench...Chanticleer Gardens

At least once a week I find myself in a botanical garden, arboretum or nature trail. I've always been fascinated by the placement of a bench. Was it placed there for someone to rest on their journey? Is it strategically placed to give you an intended view?

I'm still trying to figure that out.
