My October Goals & How You Can Help Me Reach Them!

I am very goal oriented.

I sort of have to be, considering I am own, run and am the sole employee of my business. Nothing would get done if I didn’t set any goals.

It’s a new month. It’s a new season. So, I set some new goals and you can help me reach them!! (#11 tells you how you can help!)

  1. Sell more! I would love to increase the sales of my work (wouldn’t anybody who sells products?). Whether it is a tote bag, a coffee mug or wall art, my artwork lends itself to the home decor and gift market industry. Head on over to my shop page to see what and where you can buy.

  2. Lead a successful photo workshop. I am holding my first in-person photography workshop. I have been working hard to organize it and, if it’s successful I will plan on leading more in the future.

  3. Carve out “me” time. A girl can dream.

  4. Celebrate my birthday. It’s a big one too. Not really sure how I feel about that. Stay-tuned for a follow-up post.

  5. Get on a regular blog posting schedule. I have not been good about blogging. Mostly because I’m not really sure what to blog about. I want to create interesting and informative posts for you, my readers, but I am not sure what you want to know. Comment below about what you would love to know from me.

  6. Grab my camera and get out and shoot! I have been really over-whelmed lately with the rest of my life (hence the reason I felt the need to set some goals). I have barely had time to go out and take pictures, the essence of my business!

  7. Create more. I actually have been wrapped up in working some side-gigs (a girl’s gotta pay the bills), so I haven’t really had time to work on my own art. I have to find a balance.

  8. Visit my son in NYC. He just moved and started a new job. It’s a hop, skip and jump from me and I am hoping to go spend some time with him this month.

  9. After I hold my in-person workshop, I would like to create a series of online workshops about how-to take great photos and then how to process them into works of art.

  10. I have a shop on Society6 that is mainly focused on my botanical images. I have 1 or 2 ideas for opening up another Society6 shop, one that focuses on typography and the other on graphic design patterns. This month my goal is to start working on opening those.

  11. Increase traffic to my website. Because I have a lot to offer!! Help me by signing up for my newsletter and get a FREE download To-Do List so you can set your own goals!

  12. Increase participation in my online art gallery J. Mane Gallery juried art shows. This is a pet project of mine that I hope will be a huge success. The gallery is intended to help fellow artist get more exposure for their art. I strayed it just about a year ago and it has been slowly building. Visit the gallery to learn more about it.

  13. Find new products to sell. Maybe not everyone likes tote bags, mugs and wall art.

  14. Get organized. See #7. A goal is working on my work-life balance.

  15. Clean my daughter’s room. Wait, before you jump all over me about how my daughter should be cleaning her own room, she is off at college and we are redoing her room, so I have to clean it out, so we can start.

  16. Find some new soup recipes to try. I love to make soup for dinner in the Fall! I have a great one for beef-barley soup, white bean soup and chicken noodle. What is your favorite soup recipe?

  17. Fly my drone. I have a drone camera. I am fascinated by the drone pictures I see by fellow photographers I follow on Instagram and I want to try it!! I am petrified of crashing it. It’s holding me back.

  18. Set-up Linktree. Linktree is a program I want to use on my Instagram profile that will help direct my followers to where they can find me and purchase my work (which help with goal #1!).

It’s a lofty list for one month. But I never shy away from a challenge!
